I performed my show, CONFESSIONS OF A CAT LADY (with a side of crazy!) at the Theatre Asylum for the LA Comedy Fest 365 again. Some people came out after reading the great review in the Tolucan Times, go read it now ! And I had a super special audience member, John Fulton, the host of MUST LOVE CATS on Animal Planet came out to see the show. I think it’s a show about a cat lady is pretty purrfect for him to see right?!! The 2nd season of MUST LOVE CATS airs March 10th. Can’t wait. However, my 2nd night in the PHX Fringe Festival is the same time, so I will be watching via DVR. Looking forward to taking the show on the road to my hometown. Get ready Phoenix, depending on who you are, you might be mentioned in my show. Watch out! But in a good way…maybe, come and find out.

I have a big announcement regarding my show too. I’ve been accepted into the PHX Fringe Festival 2012. I will be taking this show on the road in March! I love a good audition and casting in the same day! I have been cast in an online video for The Walking Dead (the comic book series) and will be shooting this weekend. My role is a wife who’s husband is a zombie. I’m looking forward to the shoot and working with the awesome people I met in the audition. Lots of great things in the pipeline!
The debut of my solo show “Confessions of a Cat Lady (with a side of crazy!)” went better than I could have hoped. The audience ate it up. I received lots of great compliments on the show and now it’s time to literally take this show on the road. Festivals are just around the corner and I’d really like to take it to my hometown of Phoenix, AZ as well as perform at the Fringe Festival next summer in Hollywood. There is another run planned in Burbank for April as well. Stay tuned for more info on future performances and a new website dedicated to the show. 2012 is going to rock this cat lady’s world!

I went to see Judd Apatow speak at the Largo in a Conversation with Jeff Garlin. It was pretty hilarious and I learned that Judd and I have something in common. We both watch people’s mouths when they talk…I have no idea why I do that but I’ve realized that I have that habit. But now I know I’m not a freak because Judd does that too. Afterwards I got my book signed by Judd and met him for the first time. I told him about my vlog 60 Seconds with Judd Apatow and now I’ve had a real 60 seconds with Judd Apatow. Got my pic….wore a “waaaaaay too excited face” since Judd said this must be a dream for you. hahahaha I should have said, “actually my dream is to be in your movies” but instead I made a crazy excited face. Damn me and my excitement! But that wasn’t the end of the encounter….I needed to get a photo redo! So I stood in line with my friend Crystal and her friend Pete, now my friend Pete. heehee I said “I need a redo…I looked way too excited and need a calmer picture.” Judd happily obliged. I mean I did make the book signing possible by lending him my sharpie which is how I had 3rd 60 seconds with Judd Apatow when I got my sharpie back and in it’s place I gave him my business card. Hopefully he gets the hint and casts me in his next movie if he remembers to take my card out of his pocket before it goes in the laundry! And that was my REAL 60 seconds with Judd Apatow times 3.
It’s happening. I’m doing a one woman show at the end of this month. October 28th at 8pm at the Missing Piece Theatre. I’ve been in an intense 3 month writing class with the amazing Kimleigh Smith teaching, who has her own award-winning show. The final part of class is to put up the show!!!! This is it! You should come see why I’ve been a hermit the last 3 months and laugh at me!
